About Me
Hey everyone!
For those who don’t know me, my name is Chase Mazur. I’m an 18-year-old photographer based in South Louisiana. This is home for me, where most of my work is centered, but I also spend time in The Woodlands, Texas, where my dad and step mother live.
I’m the founder and creative director of Chase Mazur Photography LLC, a Louisiana-based creative business I’ve built from the ground up. What started as photography has grown into something much bigger. Along the way, I’ve developed a strong interest in content creation, brand strategy, and digital storytelling, and how all of those pieces come together to create something that actually connects with people.
I picked up a camera about seven years ago without any real plan. I was just the younger sibling on the sidelines, documenting whatever was happening around me. There was no big vision at the time. I just enjoyed capturing moments. Over time, that turned into something I cared deeply about, and eventually, into a business I’m incredibly grateful for and committed to growing.
Through building this, I’ve learned a lot beyond just taking photos. Creative direction, working with clients, understanding how to guide a session, and more importantly, how to make people feel comfortable in front of the camera. I’ve also become really interested in how media and marketing play a role in everything we see, especially when it comes to reaching and engaging a Gen Z audience in a way that feels real and not forced.
After graduating high school in May of 2026, I plan to continue building in this space. After graduation, I’ll be attending Louisiana State University pursuing a degree in General Business with a concentration in Digital Marketing, while continuing to grow my business and take on new opportunities that push me creatively and professionally.
A huge part of who I am comes from living with Type 1 diabetes. It’s shaped how I see time, opportunity, and people. It’s also opened the door to being involved with Breakthrough T1D, where I’ve had the opportunity to be part of advocacy, awareness, and community efforts. That experience has had a lasting impact on me, and it carries into the way I approach both my work and the relationships I build with clients.
At the core of everything, I’m a visual storyteller. I care about the real moments. The small details. The in-between interactions that might not seem like much in the moment, but end up meaning everything later. Whether it’s a senior session, a family, or a couple, my goal is always the same. Create something honest, something timeless, and something that feels like you.
I don’t take it lightly when someone trusts me to capture something important to them. That’s what drives everything I do.
I’m beyond grateful for the people who have trusted me so far, and I’m excited to keep building this into something even greater.
Let’s create something great together!
— Chase Mazur
—A PART OF MY STORY—
A big part of who I am, both in life and in my work, comes from living with Type 1 Diabetes.
Before photography, I was all in on sports. That was my world. But navigating Type 1, especially with something like soccer, completely shifted things for me. In the middle of all of that, I picked up a camera. At first, it was just something to do. A way to stay involved, to document, to create.
I didn’t realize at the time, but that moment changed everything.
Photography became more than just a hobby. It became something I could build, something I could grow, and eventually, something that turned into a business.
Through this journey, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with Breakthrough T1D, an organization focused on research, advocacy, and support for those living with Type 1. Most recently, I had the honor of serving as one of the Fund A Cure Chairs for the 2026 Louisiana Imagine Gala.
Being part of that, standing on that stage, and working alongside families who understand this life firsthand is something I don’t take lightly.
Type 1 has shaped how I see time, how I show up for people, and how I approach everything I do. It’s a part of my story that will always be with me, and it’s one of the reasons I care so much about capturing moments that actually matter.
